Intramural Research Program (IRP) Demographics

The Intramural Research Program (IRP) is a distinctive research environment with . Representing a collection of interdisciplinary teams, the IRP conducts research from bench to the bedside in the pursuit of scientific opportunity.

Figure 1 summarizes end of fiscal year 2022 (FY22) published data on the demographic composition of the NIH IRP workforce as of September 30, 2022. Data is broken down by Intramural Professional Designations (IPDs) and Race/Ethnicity.
